Introducing Drema Pierson, RN, MSN, MBA, Administrator, WV Center for Nursing

INTRODUCING:

Drema Pierson, RN, MSN, MBA, Administrator, West Virginia Center for Nursing

“I am delighted to be here and excited to be advancing the mission and vision of the West Virginia Center for Nursing.   Together we can develop and implement strategies to support the education, recruitment and retention of qualified nurse professionals in West Virginia.  I am a nurse today because someone helped me, so I know firsthand that the Nursing Scholarship Program can help individuals achieve their educational goals.  A strong nursing workforce will help improve health and healthcare throughout West Virginia.”

Drema  joined the Center in early October, 2015.  She began her nursing career with an associate degree in nursing.  She completed a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing and later received a master’s of science in nursing  while working clinically providing direct patient care and as a nurse educator.  Most recently she earned a master’s in business administration and worked in hospital compliance.
